What's the difference between ORIGINAL MULTIPURPOSE BALM™ and BLUE CHAMOMILE MULTIPURPOSE BALM™?
Our ORIGINAL MULTIPURPOSE BALM is a clean, natural, organic, vegan, cruelty-free, and eco-conscious alternative to petroleum and/or beeswax based preparations, specifically designed to hydrate and soothe even the most dry, sensitive, and eczema-prone skin.
Our BLUE CHAMOMILE MULTIPURPOSE BALM contains all of the benefits of the ORIGINAL MULTIPURPOSE BALM and is further enhanced with the benefits of azulene-rich Matricaria Chamomilla oil, also known as Blue or German Chamomile. Azulene is a powerful phytochemical that helps to relieve itchiness, calm irritation, and reduce the appearance of redness while providing a warm and herbaceous aroma with sweet and grounding undertones.
What's the consistency of your multipurpose balms and what do they smell like?
ORIGINAL MULTIPURPOSE BALM is creamy and translucent, similar in look and feel to white petroleum jelly (but of course, this product is petroleum-free). It transforms on contact from it's semi-solid state to a nourishing yet weightless silky oil. An untouched jar of Ranger Balm begins its journey with a sealed waxy top layer that effortlessly melts upon removing your very first dab (and be warned, breaking that seal is extremely gratifying). It is nearly odorless with a faint and neutral smell from the plant-based oils and wax.
BLUE CHAMOMILE MULTIPURPOSE BALM has the same creamy texture and translucency as ORIGINAL MULTIPURPOSE BALM though the addition of azulene rich blue chamomile gives this balm its signature azure blue hue, reminiscent of the Mediterranean Sea, and provides a warm and herbaceous aroma with sweet undertones that will keep you coming back for more.
Please note: color may vary from blue to bluish green due to the natural color of German chamomile oil.
Can I apply RANGER BALM™ to my face?
Both of our multipurpose balms are designed to hydrate and soothe even the most dry, sensitive, and eczema-prone skin, including the delicate skin on our faces!
Is RANGER BALM™ suitable for acne-prone skin?
Our multipurpose balms contain plant-based ingredients known for their anti-inflammatory and soothing qualities, including organic cold-pressed coconut oil which is thought to help fight Propionibacterium acnes (also known as P. acnes, or acne-causing bacteria). With this said, it's always best to patch-test first to see how your individual skin responds.
Is RANGER BALM™ suitable for everyone?
While Ranger Balm was created with all skin types and life stages in mind, as with any skincare product, we recommend introducing Ranger Balm with a patch-test before broad application and checking with your doctor before introducing any new products, especially if pregnant, breastfeeding, or using for pediatric purposes. Please note, it is generally recommended not to introduce essential oils before the age of 3 months making our ORIGINAL MULTIPURPOSE BALM the better option for ages 0-3 months.
How do you use RANGER BALM™?
Ranger Balm products are intended for multipurpose use. Some of our favorite uses for our multipurpose balms include: rough or dry patches, lips, cuticles, hands and feet, cleansing balm, baby balm, belly balm, beard balm, dry ends, untamed brows, flyaways, face and body moisturizer, to remove bandaids, soothe sunburns and bug bites, provide a barrier from the wind, and so much more. The options are truly endless, the real question is how do you Ranger Balm?
To use, remove a pea-sized amount of product and warm it in your fingertips. Our creamy balm will transform on contact into a fine silky oil. Apply gently to any areas in need.
Ranger Balm is best stored at room temperature. For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children. Ranger Balm is not intended to treat or cure any disease.
Is RANGER BALM™ non-toxic / clean?
Yes, and uncompromisingly so! Ranger Balm was created because we sought a non-toxic and vegan alternative to petroleum, beeswax, and lanolin based ointments to hydrate and soothe even the most dry, sensitive, and eczema-prone skin without using harsh, toxic, or animal-derived ingredients. We wanted this product to be gentle yet effective, organic, and appropriate for all skin types and ages. When it comes to our family, we don't compromise. So why should you?
Is RANGER BALM™ vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes - 100%! All of our products are vegan and never tested on non-human animals. You will never find beeswax, honey, lanolin, or any animal-derived ingredients hiding out in our multipurpose balms. What's more, we are deeply committed to animal welfare and environmental protection, and that's why we donate 2% of every sale to charitable organizations to further these causes.
Is RANGER BALM™ organic?
Our products are crafted with certified organic ingredients whenever possible. All of the oils we use are certified organic and we use non-GMO sunflower seed wax.
What should I do with my empties?
It is our hope that you hold on to your Mini and Classic Size jars to refill them from a Deluxe Size jar (after all, refillable skincare reduces our collective impact through less packaging + less shipping). When refilling is not an option, we love a good repurposed jar, and find that Ranger Balm empties add a stylish eco-touch to home decor! You can use your empty jars to organize loose items like paper clips, coins, hair-ties, collar-stays, beauty samples, and more! One of our favorite ways to repurpose Ranger Balm is to turn your sleek UV glass jar into a succulent planter.
But we get it, sometimes you don't want more in your home. In this case, you can clean out and recycle your jar (and Deluxe Size lid) or drop off your jar + any size lid at a local beauty recycling location.
